Networking creates flat hierarchies and binds the employees more in decision-making processes \u2013 this exemplifies Kurt De Ruwe, the new CIO at Philips Lighting. Therefore he wins the leader in the Digital Age Award in the category “manager”<\/a>.
\nAccording to the jury, he deserves this award among other things for the project “Program One – Change is happening,” which he has implemented at Bayer MaterialScience, where he was chief information officer.<\/p>\n

Therefore he collected more than 500 opinions and suggestions of its employees. All were able to bring in, regardless of position and work. The point was not necessarily about the IT project itself, but the way of thinking. It was important that the individual employees leave the microcosm of their department and started joined-up thinking and working instead.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, about 8,000 people are on the internal communication platform where they exchange ideas, communicate and discuss problems.
\nEven as Chief Information Officer at Philips Lighting Kurt de Ruwe continues in this style. “I come across an exciting time for Philips Lighting. The industry is under renovation, the company too.<\/p>\n

Lighting is now digital, and the organization is changing. ” The award gets Kurt De Ruwe tomorrow night at 18:30 clock at CeBIT<\/a>. “For me it is a great honor to receive this award.
